I wasn’t going to do it. It seems that it’s a “Bloggy” thing to do, and I was not going to give in. Many bloggers are choosing ONE WORD to help them focus their 2014 year.

I wasn’t going to do it.

But throughout the day it bothered me. Ever have that happen to you?

So here is my word:

I’m actually a little embarrassed by it. The word NOW seems like a strange word to focus on, but then again…

If you read verses 35-38 in Matthew 9, then you see a busy picture of Jesus. He was teaching, proclaiming the gospel, and healing wherever He went. He was going through ALL of the cities. That’s a lot.

And He felt compassion for all of the people. I thought about choosing the word “COMPASSION” because I really need some. I can be very judgmental. I do need to work on my compassion.

But then Jesus told His disciples that the harvest was plentiful, but the workers were few.

“Therefore, BESEECH!” He told them.

Beseech = to beg, ask earnestly

Jesus told the disciples to beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. There is such a sense of urgency.

Can you picture the look on Jesus’ face when He said this to His disciples? Listen to Him!

Beseech the Lord! Ask the Father to send out workers NOW! The harvest is ripe and ready! NOW, is the time. NOW!

And so my word is NOW. I may not physically be going into the fields overseas, but my words through this blog might. The Lord has given me a passion for His Words. I cannot help but attempt to teach them to others who might listen.

I will teach children in Awana NOW.

I will homeschool my kids and train them in the ways of the Lord NOW.

I will publish my Bible lessons on FFS NOW.

I will teach the Word of God with fear and trembling NOW.

I will attempt to be the best wife I can be NOW.

I will serve the Lord and obey Him NOW.

Is there something you need to do NOW?
