Some families are really into camping. And that’s ok. We just aren’t. Perhaps one day we’ll take the giant leap. But for now…this is camping for us.

The backyard.

This is actually a very easy way for Daddy to spend quality time with each child because the kids take turns going camping. One is with Daddy and the other “camps out” on the floor in the living room with mom. (Only I sleep on the couch!)

Daddy and the kids put up the tent and build a fire.

Then we all gather ’round. Usually we roast marshmallows and make s’mores, but the going vote right now is to eat the marshmallows plain and uncooked.

We sing songs and Daddy tells stories.

Then we all go to bed for the evening. This time it was Sweet Cheeks turn to sleep in the outside tent. She was SO excited!

And she made it through the whole night!

Daddy said she was a wiggle worm though…
