Who am I and why should you listen to me?
My name is Anne Marie Gosnell. I have been in multiple classrooms over the past 35 years attempting to teach the Bible to children. It’s hard work…but it is necessary work.
Throughout my years teaching in Christian schools, I realized that the kids I taught daily were receiving better Bible teaching than the children at my church. I did not think that was right. Of all the institutions teaching the Bible, the Church should be the best at teaching the Bible.
But many times it isn’t.
You and I can change that.
I have a Masters Degree in Education that focuses on Curriculum and Instruction. I have taught and trained teachers how to teach in preschools and public schools. I have written curriculum that is used in school text books…
But my passion is to help parents and church leaders be the most Excellent Bible Teachers they can be.
This introductory course covers the purpose and philosophy behind quality Bible Teaching. It is packed with information that will help you evaluate your calling, faith walk, and leadership skills. Then it walks you through how to use curriculum, or create your own curriculum, by considering your teaching goals. And lastly, you will learn how to prepare and execute Bible lessons like the Master Teacher Himself.
It is my hope that this course will help you to begin practicing Excellent Bible Teaching.
